I tried to book with my family at the B&B through tripadvisor. We paid the deposit but although tripadvisor took my money, it transpired that there was a double booking. Annoying but fair enough. Four months later, I am still waiting for a refund. Can't comment on the quality of the B&B or the restaurant, but customer service could do... More

On arriving I was the only person staying as the owners had been on holiday. During my JOG to Land's End ride I had simple requirements. Warm shower, food, sleep, breakfast. I booked this place as it is part of a restaurant although I was not told the restaurant would not be open while I was staying. However, the owner... More

Had yet another first class meal, I went with my wife and two friends, we live locally and use this place a few times a year. An excellent restaurant, concentrating on good quality locally sourced produce, all very fresh and extremely well prepared. It was snowing very heavily and the place wasnt very busy as a result, however the charm... More

Have been to the Granary on numerous occasions. The welcome is always very friendly and the food is always fantastic. Love it so much I had my wedding here!!!, they did not disappoint and based on comments received from family and friends who attended the wedding reception they agree. Would recommend The Granary time and time again.

My partner had been to The Granary on numerous occasions but it was my first visit. This was her parents anniversary dinner for 12 people. It is true that the bar area is a little dated and the drink choice is a little limited but there was a very hearty welcome from the owner, Paul, who also manned the bar.... More

After a long search for food and shelter we were recommended to The Granary. We were welcomed by Paul and Margaret, shown to an excellent, though small, twin bedded and comfortable room with a decent shower, good TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. The restaurant menu was good, Paul's welcome was as if we were long lost friends, and... More

After an evening visit several years ago we booked Sunday lunch for four. From the moment we arrived we were treated as VIPs by the proprieters in a most friendly way. After a quick drink - our choice - we were shown to our table and our choice of starters served - two salmon mousse, a feta salad and a... More

Stayed at 'The Granary' and dined in the restaurant during our stay. The rooms were clean and tidy. The welcome was warm. The food in the restaurant was lovely and we especially enjoyed the handmade chocolate truffles that accompanied our coffee. If you want to stay at a B&B with no personailty, don't stay here! If you want to stay... More

OMG, I can't believe the positive comments posted below. We also tried The Granary and absolutley agree about the tired 70s decor and the pretentious menu (frogs legs I ask you!). Gordon Ramsay would have an absolute field day here! The bottom line is, Paul & Margaret are simply amateurs. Most of these positive reviews I can imagine have been... More

We had visited the granary last summer for a girly night out with fine food great service and a friendly welcome. We had such a good time that we all decided we would give it another visit this February. Once again we were not disappointed they even catered for some of us who had special requirements, still trying to give us... More
