Good good, decor ok, menu very limited, staff and service mixed, price high That's about the extent of it. Would I go back? Probably not, as there are too many good restaurants out there who actually want your custom and make your experience special. The...More

Service exemplary, food flavoursome and solid wine list. Would have liked more choice but what we had was divine. Awesome cheese board. Well done Colette's.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. But for £225 (food 150) for 2, Collette's was not the 'fine dining' experience we were expecting. The food was lazy, lacking in flavour and if compared to a lot of London venues in the same price range, falls...More

Description
The Grove is a lavish, Elizabethan country house hote located just 40 minutes from London that used to be the historical home for the Earls of Clarendon. Tucked away inside this splendid setting is the discreet and elegant Colette's restaurant, which is renowned for its three AA rosette worthy cuisine by rising star Head Chef Russell Bateman and award-winning wine list. With views over Charlotte's Vale, the 18th century dining room at Colette's which was described by the hotel's architect Martin Hulbert as "groovy-grand" - has been restored with chic table settings, contemporary artworks and an understated vanilla and coffee colour scheme. Popular with chic city-dwellers and fashionable foreigners, Colette's has a modern European menu, and the restaurant regularly hosts wine evenings themed on iconic wine regions.
