Due to sickness this little gem has had to close down. Very sad indeed for Harpenden. I'll miss it for one

The same people just reopened it as the Spice Rack. I will not be rushing to try it though. Over the years I tried it a number of times as the concept was good but the execution far from it. The food varied from disappointing...More
Despite their award winning attempt at surviving in the busy Harpenden restaurant market that Little Place appears to be boarded up and closed. I have eaten here but found the menu to be a little pretentious so whilst it is always a shame when a...More

Always great food. black pudin and scallop starters are great,. This restaurant deserves to be a lot busier.

Great service. Excellent Roast Beef dinner, with crisp vegetables and mashed swede, accompanied with pig in blanket, stuffing and Yorkshire puddiing. Good inexpensive wine list. Would certainly go back for Sunday lunch.
Lovely food. The emphasis on local ingredients and simple food is admirable. Service is good - could be more slick but you get the feeling that the servers really care.
Lovely little place with good food and wine. Menu is a bit limited so no plans to return in a hurry but I would recommend to others.
