Visited 23 December as close to holiday accommodation. Chips warm and cod cold with very dry batter. Disappointing start to holiday.

Wanted to go to this restaurant for some time. Great service and varied menu. I had the usual Cod, chips and mushy peas. My wife had a generous plate of Whitebait and a side dish of sweet potato chips. Both dishes were excellent.

The quality of the fish and chips were great and the lads serving us were very friendly but the portions were ridiculous. We asked for medium portions and were told these were really quite big and people usually share chips. When we got back to our house the actual portion sizes were tiny, more like kids meals. I hate to... More

Our first evening in Cowes and fancied fish & chips. Had been recommended Corries Cabin and decided to eat at the table, rather than while walking. The choice of fish was very good. Friends had Huss (Rock) and we had Cod and Haddock. All were excellent and the chips were very good also. Good size portions, very good crispy batter... More

We come to East Cowes several times a year for the last 5 years. Our first day routine is to take the floating bridge over to Cowes to have lunch at Corries Cabin. Last week we arrived on the Island and headed to Corries for lunch. Firstly, we noticed that the prices had gone up significantly (and this was never... More

We only wanted a snack and a hot drink as it was so cold out. The price of the tea was quite high, but acceptable. However, a portion of chips was £3, which I think was way over the top. I've never paid that much, even in a classy restaurant, let alone a very basic chippie like this.

Walking past this place, popped in upon a recommendation to take away a couple of pieces of cod and chips for lunch. Only a couple of medium pieces left so I went with it. The shock to me £9.60! Haven't had take away fish and chips for many years so very surprised that little left out of £10.00. Apart from... More
