We have been to this pub a few times. Usually we sit in the garden.....even on a warm winters day as the tables are sheltered by hedging. This time we sat inside next to the open fire....lovely. The decor is casual and gives a cosy...More

This is a lovely little pub, a great choice of fresh home cooked food. Four of us visited and had the seafood platter, absolutely amazing from start to finish. The lobster was perfect, so much flavour. Puddings were very nice , recommend the winterberry crumble...More

This walkers' pub can offer huge disappointments. It is expensive and pretentious, yet floppy on some aspects. The service was delivered by some orchestra-man who handled everything from reception to helping in the kitchen. Needless to say, politeness was in short supply, delivery times were...More

We've been here 3 or 4 times a year over the last decade and it never fails to impress. It's tucked away in the lanes of West Wight but well worth discovering. As one would expect it's busier in the summer and well worth visiting...More

The pub is friendly and worth a visit. The fabric is old but liveable and whilst you wouldn't want it in your lounge it's fine for a pub. The staff and manager are friendly and helpful. What more could you want ?

This pub was recommended to us by our B&B owner and rightly so. Lovely and warm & welcoming on a cold damp evening. My husband had the salmon and I had battered haddock and chips. My haddock was perfectly cooked in light crispy batter and...More

Unfortunately didn't actually get to stay at this place due to a double booking but this was well handled by the host, who took the trouble of arranging for me another place to stay and transporting me there, despite the refusal of a rude owner...More

Booked a table for the last night of our holiday at this pub just up the road from where we were staying to have tea. OK so it's a pub and probably a walkers pub, some things you can forgive but not the absolutely filthy...More

Came here for a meal with friends whilst on holiday. Can highly recommend the food but was looking forward to local seafood specialities such as crab or lobster but unfortunately not available on the night we went.
