We were in the middle of a long circular walk, so this was a welcome mark on the OS map. We had no clue what to expect other than it was conveniently placed for us for a rest before walking up to Tennyson Down and back to Yarmouth. The pub a a good old proper pub. The ales I had... More

We came here 5 of us for a lunchtime meal. Food superb and large portions . Staff good . Prices I think a bit on the high side . Might visit again but would probably go somewhere a bit cheaper. Give it a try

We drove past a few times while on holiday in Totland Bay and were enticed by the menu board boasting seafood. We all had different meals, crab & avocado, burger, faggots, stew&dumplings, lamb roast. Wow! Amazing home cooked food, delicious. £107 for 3 starters, 5 mains, and 4 puds. Would definitely be back if we holiday here again.

We have eaten at the Highdown on a number of occasions, on each occasion the service, food and drink has been superb the food portions being large!! The atmosphere in the Highdown is also very welcoming and very cosy and it's well worth a visit.

We decided to take our neighbour out for a midweek lunch and chose the Highdown as it is local to us, we all had different meals. One ham egg and chips one cheese burger chips and coleslaw one salmon & prawns in a dill sauce with pots & veg. We all enjoyed our meals, the staff were friendly and helpful,... More

We stopped here for late lunch on our walk back from The Needles to Freshwater Bay. The place had been transformed from the pub we had expected, now to be a restaurant. The Sunday lunch being served around us looked great! However the menu was very limited for vegetarian choices, also if you wanted a simple meal this was hard... More
