An atmospheric small cosy interior with efficient pleasant staff. Hot tasty freshly cooked 'better than average' reasonably priced pub grub. Ham egg and chips enough for a lion and the cajun chicken from the specials board - perfect. If you've forgotten your reading glasses there...More

We visited with friends on a Saturday night having discovered everywhere else seemed full. We thought it looked a bit basic - with TV and games but were really surprised by the food served. It was of a much higher quality than the surroundings suggested...More

Really delicious pub food. Friendly staff and nice choice of local ales. Staff were more than willing to make recommendations. Got very busy so must be a popular place, definitely worth booking a table if eating.

Called for drinks only and the local brew was very good. The food going out looked tasty. Don't be put off by the appearance as you first go in. The rear of the pub is much nicer.
