All started wonderfully. Drinks at the bar, then shown to a lovely set table, I was allowed to speak directly to chef regarding my health concerns. The food was good for everyone. Just made to feel as if the staff were so busy that they...More

I came here with a friend for a mid week lunch. We were the first and only people in our section of the restaurant. I ordered the lamb chops and my friend the salmon. The food was lovely. That is where the positives of my...More

Great food when we went for dinner last night. The bacon, brie and spinach tart was excellent and the field mushroom with caramelised onion and grilled goat’s cheese was much enjoyed. Would also recommend all of our main courses, smoked haddock, duck breast or salmon....More

Over priced, very poor service and average food best describes the evening. It did not appear particularly busy so not quite sure why we waited so long for the food.

Always busy and you can see why. Lovely location, plenty of parking availble and hospitable staff. Great menu, fish dishes are particularly good! Pudding was even better! Would highly recommend a visit

Romantic meal for two in the restaurant. Full and varied food and wine menu. Excellent selection of real ales. Plenty of parking. Relaxing atmosphere to dine in a very historic setting.

The sun was shining and hot, we sat in the courtyard restaurant and just had a ploughmans which was beautiful with a choice too. A lovely setting, can't wait to go back and sample some more of their cuisine.
