My friend who lives in the village brought me here, and the food was excellent. Soups/salads/sandwhiches and other offerings, including several delectable looking desserts, all made in house. Friendly service and moderate prices.

Tried this new place for Sunday brunch as it was one the only place open other than pubs. What a pleasant surprise. The food was fresh wholesome and homemade plus an all day breakfast menu. Staff friendly and obliging. Very generous pots of tea. Cakes looked good but we were too stuffed after lunch to try. Need to be aware... More

This is our third visit & we can say the standard remains consistent. Friendly welcoming staff. Interesting range of sandwich/ciabatta fillings. Good coffee. Nice little courtyard at the rear.

We went to this cafe for a pot of tea and tea cake. All was good until the cups came. My wife found a wee something stuckbon the side of her cup... these things happen.. but when we looked underneath the cup it looked like it had not been touched for awhile. When this was pointed out to the staff... More

This was a great spot for a snack while we wandered around Hythe. We sat in the little courtyard outside, a nice sheltered but sunny spot full of greenery. Our food was good (hot chocolates, cappuccinos, a ploughman's platter to share, and cakes) and the service was very friendly and helpful. One of the best parts of our visit was... More

We always head here when in Hythe throughout the year, The Nutmeg is great, warm and cosy and food is delicious. Can get very busy so would recommend to go early to avoid disappointment. We've never not had good grub...

A very bland looking ciabatta - a garnish would have made it look more appetising and worthy of the price. A popular cafe though with some lovely homemade cakes.

We decided to go here for our Sunday breakfast/brunch. We got here just after 10 and got the second to last big table by the window. There is a good variety to choice from to your traditional fry up to eggs benedict. The food was lovely and tasty and not greasy and the staff were nice and friendly. The only... More
