We ate lunch here two days in a row as we stayed at Elvey Farm. The staff were very kind and warming, one lady went out of her way to ask if we had a nice weekend. Food was great and not bad value. I would certainly recommend this place and if we ever visit Pluckley again we would definitely... More

The staff are lovely here and you get a warm welcome to this traditional country pub . We enjoyed a bottle of house white wine and home made cured salmon (Gravad Lax) really tasty -just would have loved some mustard dill sauce with it . We then had garlic mushroom and fishcake - again really good and delicious - the... More

I was there for the first time recently for a quiz night. One of our party got their car stuck in the gravel of parking area and were helped out by both staff and locals who were all very pleasant. The evening was well organised and ran smoothly. Food was not the normal menu for obvious reasons but was pretty... More

Stayed at Elvey Farm and although our room was dog friendly the restaurant wasn't! Took our puppy here and had lovely steak for dinner and were made really welcome. Darly was even given water and treats! Highly recommend wish we lived nearer!

Food was pretty basic and not much to write home about. Lacked taste, tight on the bread, Paprika around the plate was very old school. Really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.

Went for a Sunday lunch with friends, the welcome was good and the food wasn't bad either. We ordered the roast beef and whilst I accept that beef is good rare, this was actually almost raw, it was very difficult to cut let alone eat! The heating didn't seem to be working in the restaurant area either and it was... More

The second you walk into this wonderfully restored pub you get the sense that despite it's slight modernisation in the restaurant area, it has managed to keep all of it's original charm. The open log fire and original bar area are lovely and there is a good selection of beers and ales on tap! Virtually faultless birthday meal at a... More

Came across this little gem by mistake, what a find lunch fab sat in front of a open fire. We visited at 1.30pm on a Wednesday lunch time and it was full, not many places like that during the week. Service was good very attentive and friendly.

We were welcomed so warmly when we arrived I assumed the barmaid knew us! What a lovely start to our Sunday lunch. We had our boisterous toddler with us but were welcomed regardless (😉) Food was lovely and plentiful (we all had roast beef). Lemon posset for pudding was especially lovely. Service was quick and attentive and very friendly. We... More
