Not fine dining but a first class hotel restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Relaxed and inviting - and you can get a proper pint of real ale with your food at a reasonable price!

Family meal for Mothers day we had 11 people in our party so we had between us a good selection from the menu. Most of us had all 3 courses, the food was really nice. The service and waiting staff were very attentive, quickly clearing the table once we had finished each course. Whilst keeping us supplied with drinks. This... More

I've been here with several clients as we have a project close by. Whether we are just needing a place to have a meeting with coffee, wanting breakfast or lunch this is our regular place. We are always made to feel welcome and nothing is ever too much for the staff. The lunch menu is fantastic with great choice and... More

Party of 5 pre ordered as we were short on time. After arrival I enquired if I could pay for the entire order up front. 'No', came back the reply. Wow. OK then. Let's take a seat away from Mrs Grumpy. Waitress comes over a few minutes later with menus. We've pre ordered we tell her and off she trots.... More

Various dishes across the week, highlights being the lamb tagine with cous cous and the rag pudding. Decent service and quite a small bar/restaurant area. Handy if staying at the Trapp but stuck out the way if not. Good Blonde beer!
