The food was excellent in all respects, but the place was very busy and we were a large party, so the service was a bit ragged. We will definitely go again.

Had a chilled treat. Stayed here with my husband . Absolute gem of a place. Couldn't fault a thing! Staff, food, cleanliness and location was absolutely top notch! Would highly recommend if you want a nice chilled relaxing overnight stay.
We went to a wedding party and stayed over at the Spread Eagle - rooms were excellent, staff were superb and super friendly and helpful - breakfast set us up for the day and nothing was too much trouble -

Really, no really friendly pub. Very attentive staff, good food at the bar, exceptionally dog friendly nice venue to relax in after a lovely walk (in the rain)

Enjoyed a delicious lunch outside Spread Eagle by the river in the last of this years sun after a long walk with the dog around the area. Such a beautiful scenic spot, quality food and friendly service... what more could you want.

This is a very cozy pub restaurant and on a busy night has good atmosphere. The bar area is particularily pleasant on a cold evening or lunch time if the fire is blazing and we like to grab a table near that if we can....More
A very comfortable atmospheric pub/restaurant but very overpriced for what was just ok food. £6 for a glass of house wine is just greedy.
