Booked in here for a 2 night stay with a friend for the 1940's weekend at nearby Crowle. The rooms were in a separate building to the back of the car park behind the pub and were very nice. Modern and clean with plenty of room. Usual tea/coffee facilities etc. What I liked was the fact that it was lovely... More

Perhaps some of the best value food for many a mile. Gordon would be very upset if anyone went away hungry. Realale always available. Friendly staff, friendly landlord and friendly locals.

The pub is in the latest CAMRA guide and had 3 cast beers on tap the evening I visited. There's plenty of good food to choose from on the menu. The haddock was as big as I've ever seen. Try a dessert if you've still got room.

Always go there for Sunday buffet and am amased at how much some people pile on their plates. For under £10 a head I doubt they can be beaten. The staff are friendly and the hosts make you feel welcome. We will return again and again.

We went for our Sunday dinner yesterday and were so impressed with this cosy, country pub. The staff were welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. We had a short wait before we were called through for our meal. They do this because the dining room is quite small and it saves having queues at the carvery. The... More
