Nice service, food and drinks. Bit hidden off market square but worth finding. Licensed. Good range of food but only had lunch.

Absolutely delicious food,We saw a plate with the most amazing looking cheese scones go past, just baked, but spoken for. managed too get the last one with my soup and it was... More

We eat lunch here fairly often. It can be very crowded especially in the tourist season but worth the wait if you can get a table. The menu is wide-ranging and vegetarians have a choice. The jacket potatoes with cheese are delicious - the cheese actually tastes like cheese! Prices are very fair for the quality of food. Service is... More

Lovely spot for soup, sandwich and tea. Very friendly. Will call back when next in town. Menu is much more including main meals etc. The recommendation came from the owners of Jobsons' shop.

Lucky that we had as people were being turned away when we arrived for our meal ! Whilst the restaurant itself was nothing startling in... More

We had an dinner there whilst in Alnwick, and have to say the standard of food preparation and presentation was exceptional. More than a match for any restaurant in any big city or even the capital itself! Starters included a Mash, Black Pudding and Cumberland Sausage topped with an Onion Ring (although it does look like a lightly battered quail... More

I really want to write a good review as Alnwick is short on small businesses and a large chain is right next to this place. However that is why I can't, the large chain provides fresh food, always available, free newspapers, good ambience, clean tables. I have visited lilburns several times lately and each time told the scones are yesterdays,... More
