We go this area once or twice a year and always go to Elaine's for coffee and cake as the cakes are always unusual especially the "chocolate and beetroot". There is also a very interesting gift shop attached.

Stopped off at Eleanor's Byre for coffee and cake. It's a tiny little coffee shop and indeed only sells coffee and cake. However the cakes are amazing. I had a lime, ginger and parsnip cake. My hubby had a sweet potato, orange and almond cake but we were both tempted by the chocolate and beetroot one - maybe next time.... More

Very pretty. Only do cakes and coffee due to the size of the property. However comfortable and pretty inside with a well stocked gift shop. Outside very pleasant sunny seating areas and dogs welcome.

Lovely little stop off for cake and teas in a renovated barn / stable building. Friendly service inside or outside. If you get a chance take some old apples and feed the pigs in field behind!

Lovely little shop with some unusual, quirky items and lots of pretty things. We never stayed for coffee and cake as we had just eaten but am sure it would be delightful. Lovely friendly staff.

Great coffee shop with lovely cakes. The home made cakes were of interesting flavour combinations but tasted wonderful. Would definitely recomend a visit but the do only serve drinks and cake. It is attached to a shop full of lovely gifts.

This is a coffee shop and wonderful store to poke around. The prices are reasonable for coffee etc and the cakes are beautiful. Eleanor herself is a lovely lady who chatted away to us. Her shop has exquisite things in it and is well worth spending time in. Just lovely.

I came to see the gift shop to get a present for my friend but stayed for a coffee and cake. The cakes are unusually made from vegetables but the orange and sweet potato was delicious and I would have loved to have tried more! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. Well worth a stop on the way to... More

3 of us arrived by bike discovering this little gem on our cycle ride. Access is easy straight off the road, there is a car park and a 2 hourly bus service. It looked disabled friendly. We had coffee and cakes which were delicious served by friendly knowledgeable staff aware of allergies. The rest of the building is a gift... More
