Popped in on a cold wintery day and had tea. Nicely served in tea pots but a little disappointing in that it was bags not loose tea. Otherwise ok

Wife & I warmed up here after walking the 3 miles from Seahouses to Bamburgh. We enjoyed a cafeteria and afternoon scones. Can't be faulted. Understand why it's in the Top 20 UK tea rooms. If anything just think it would be better without outside toilets.

After a long walk down the beach on a sunny but cold February Saturday, this was just what we needed. Afternoon tea in a quaint location , at a competitive price, served by friendly and welcoming staff . Really hit the spot

Nice scones and cakes and a lovely cup of tea but spoiled as we visited just after Christmas and ordered from the menu provided, the waitress went into the kitchen with the order and we heard a member of staff say that it wasn't worth opening a cake (I presume a packet) for one person. The waitress then came back... More

Tiny tea rooms, quite dark and tables quite close together. Tea was lovely and the cakes, although expensive, were delicious. Staff are quite young and maybe don't have the same perspective as older visitors. I appreciate that jobs in the area are scarce so perhaps a little training might help. Visitors would appreciate a little smile and chat, " are you here for... More

The tea/drinks were fine. However when they, inadvertently I'm sure, gave change for £10 instead of the £20 tendered we were subjected to the worst example of customer service any of us had ever experienced. We were effectively made to look stupid and in spite of our polite requests for her to check her till, the manager remained belligerent until... More

We arrived at the Copper Kettle at 4.15pm on New Year's Eve; it was full of customers, and our order was taken quickly. We ordered coffee and cake, which was lovely. However, at 4.30, staff members appeared from the kitchen, and stood opposite our table staring at us. One of them then deposited a bill on the table "for when... More
