We manage to eat here a couple of times a year. Unusually these days, it is consistently good. The steak pie is just fantastic, rich and meaty. The sea bass was fresh and firm and meaty. The broccoli and carrots were crisp and fresh too. Exactly what is required of an English pub--consistently good food, real fires, good music, cozy decor--and... More

We both had a lovely dinner in this wonderful little Inn. It was a cold autumn night but we received a nice warm welcome from the landlady, the locals and a roaring open fire. The food is all freshly cooked and good quality. We will certainly go back the next time that we are in the area.

Our family had three delicious meals over the course of a week. Excellent quality and reasonable prices, good food without being mucked about with. Very friendly owners and staff members, great just to go down for a drink and a chat if you don't fancy a meal. Hugely recommend a visit!

Visited here after seeing it on trip advisor. When you walk inside, the bar area is very small. We were given a warm welcome by the landlady and there was a roaring fire. Went for a family meal, 5 adult 3 kids. The food was fantastic! As usual, you cannot find fault with any of the food in this establishment. It is all cooked fresh using local produce by Trevor. The prices are great as well, very good value for money!

Excellent beers and wines on offer. The food was average on our visit but the chef was away on holiday so we did not experience it at it's best.
