Went for Sunday lunch and not too long a wait this time for a table (have tried several times before but just too busy). Ordered a selection of main courses - beef, chicken and vegetarian option. The meat was tender and tasty and the selection of vegetables appealed to me. The carrots looked good but didn't taste of much but... More

Attended with family, table of 5. The staff were run off their feet but very pleasant. Food was great, quality and large portions, no complaints at all.

Called in for lunch with a group of friends after a walk along Druridge bay. We had booked a table and were quickly shown to it. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was up to our expectations. The place has recently been refurbished and was clean, tidy and comfortable. Quite busy, which is always an indicator of... More

We found this restaurant/pub purely by luck. We were staying at the nearby Premier Inn. The food there was almost inedible. We drove past and decided to take a chance on trying to book a table. We were very lucky and got the next to last available table. We ordered our food and within a few minutes the starters were... More

All I can say is treat yourself with a visit to here. The food is brilliant which is the main thing you want from a place to eat.

Pleasantly surprised, been here for Sunday lunch before which has always been extremely good, had their belly pork today which was so tender it was falling apart, on sweet potato mash, lovely fresh veg, I would advise the small plate unless you have a huge appetite as their portions are very generous, the place itself was very neat, clean &... We came upon this place by chance whilst driving around Northumberlands beautiful countryside. All four of our party chose a carvery and we were certainly pleased that we did. The meal was superb, the beef was the best we had ever eaten and an abundance of potatoes and vegetables. Can certainly recommend this first class dining experience.

Over the years we have been to the Widdrington Inn many times to eat and it has always been a favourite but towards the end of 2016 they updated the place by redecorating, fitting new carpet, refurbished w.c’s etc. and it’s not only top marks for the food now but also the surroundings. All the team are always so friendly... More
