My friend and I went for lunch yesterday whilst in Morpeth for the day. Nice outside seating and decent food, but nothing special. Service was ok but was surprised to hear that they only take cash! In this day and age, really?!!!

This is the most wonderful eating experience for fish lovers (and others too). Food is out of this world, service is fantastic and the location is second to none! Why go anywhere else if you are in the area?

Great little place, serving fab home cooked food in the centre of Morpeth. Seating outside, including a cosy little arbour meant we could take our dog with us which was a bonus. Have been before and had full English breakfasts, which are huge and exceptional...More

I have visited this cafe three times now and each time it has been a pleasure. The food is lovely and unlike some cafes your food comes not long after the drinks are served. It's really clean and there is plenty of choices, from full...More

Called in for Sunday lunch last week. The bakehouse is situated down a yard off the main road and what a surprise. It was like a little oasis. Very quaint indeed. It was busy but they squeezed us in after a short wait. Delicious home...More

Was visiting my hometown of Morpeth for a school reunion. On the Sunday afternoon, following a leisurely stroll around the town, I thought it prudent to adjourn to the nearest available eaterie. My uncle (Peter Allon) is a regular customer at The Bakehouse, so I...More

Glad to have stumbled across this cafe. A wide range of dishes at very reasonable prices. The waiting staff were very welcoming & friendly, speed of service was OK-ish. Chose a brie & bacon pannini, but thought it could have done with more filling.

Yes! The chips and beans are very tasty , the chips are cooked in canola oil. The healthy way to fry chips. The baked beans are of the Branston variety. A very tasty combo to say the least.......
