Really cosy welcoming Inn. We stayed in the apartment- room 3 - bathroom is down a spiral staircase- not suitable for everyone - but excellent for us with separate lounge bedroom and the downstairs modern wet room with walk in shower. We attended for Hogmanay- superb staff and great guests made it a great party.

Went to the Anglers Arms as a party of four for an evening meal on the recommendation of friends. The restaurant area is very cosy and the small bar attached is well stocked. I enjoy real ales and there were a few on offer when we were there. As well as the bar menu, there was a special festive menu... More

Visited recently in a family group. The food was fantastic; to be honest one of the best lunches I have had in a while. Homemade cheese cake was Yummmmmy. The service was so bad. We sat and sat and sat some more, but no one came. We double checked that it was service and the table and informed yes…. told... More

We've just enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Anglers Arms. All the staff were superb, the room, while small, was clean & well equipped. The breakfast was lovely & the evening meals very hearty and well cooked. The added bonus was the 3 well kept real ales. Thoroughly recommended.

My husband and I had been shopping all morning and were feeling cold and peckish. We decided to try The Anglers Arms for lunch and it turned out to be a lovely experience. A lovely warm fire, and excellent lunch and friendly staff. What more could anyone want, We will be returning.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. The menu is good and varied and the food is served well cooked and presented by smiley and attentive staff. It's a lovely cozy setting with many antiquities adding to the ambience. The bill whilst pricey represented good value considering the quality offered.... More
