A relaxing evening in an hotel filled with old-world charm and offering a high quality and satisfying dining experience. No rush, no hassle with almost silent service permit one to enjoy the company of one's friends whilst enjoying individually prepared food. The design of the dish's presentation and the accompanying flavours demonstrate that a great deal of care has been... More

Been here two times one year apart and the standard hasn't changed! Excellent quality of food. We were out the bank in a quieter conservatory due to a wedding function which made it even more personal and private. Because of this function there was a bit of a delay in receiving our mains which I think may have been the... More

Situated in beautiful grounds the house is beautiful and quirky. Service was excellent , we had lunch in the garden room which is beautiful. The food is excellent but the overall experience of Langar Hall is one of calm , graciousness and comfort. We stayed for hours !

My wife and I had a dinner here on a Friday evening, had a nice pre dinner drink, our orders were taken quickly and we were seated in the garden room which was very nice. The starters of Twice baked cheese soufflé and Pork jowl, crispy cheek, hay baked swede, apple, mustard were delicious. The homemade bread was very good... More

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table in the conservatory which was delightful. The decor is quirky yet tasteful. We did smile when two of us found holes in our napkins. Somehow is seemed to suit the atmosphere which was informal yet in gorgeous surroundings. We had wonderful service and superb food on a very reasonable, "lunch for... More

We were a party of 7 (5 adults and 2 children) and bad traffic from London meant we were 45minutes late. However we phoned ahead and they couldn't have been nicer. We were not at all rushed and were invited to have drinks whilst we ordered in their beautiful grounds to enjoy the sunshine (and let the kids stretch their... More

This was a real treat; lunch was organised courtesy of our family. Staff, food and atmosphere were all very good and my steak was awesome. So delighted we are returning next month

Wonderful food served by the most attentive staff. The setting is superb. However, it is possibly a little over priced. This is, if course, my opinion.

We sampled the tasting menu and enjoyed every single mouthful. Truly exquisite food and service. The chefs here deserved Michelin stars.

Just a short hop from the non-stop of Nottingham, Langar Hall is a million miles from the citys buzz. Set in a small country hotel, it combines an historic atmosphere with sophisticated dcor and delicious fine dining. Popular with locals and visitors, Langar Halls intimate dining room has a classic sophistication, with white tablecloths and gleaming tableware, which makes every meal feel like a special occasion. The menu is equally simple and classic, reflecting the English country house style in the use of local ingredients, including a good line in meats and cheeses from nearby farms the true taste of Nottinghamshire couldnt be further from mushy peas and mint sauce.
