We had arranged to meet my cousin and his family at this pub, which he knew and recommended to us. Never having been there before, we had a lot of trouble finding it, as it is just outside of the village. On entering the pub , we thought that it was rather cold, but they had a good open fire... Yes we are a bit out of the village, however google maps or sat nav usually brings you straight into the car park, being an old pub it is difficult to keep warm on the coldest of days but where you sat by the fire is lovely and cosy I think however if I were looking to have a 'memorable... More

The pub was very welcoming. Big roaring fire at one end and cosy snug area. The owners were very friendly and happy to chat. Good range of beers. Excellent carvery lunch - very popular though.

For a little pub off the beaten track we love and appreciate how busy it can be at times, it was still good to know that you enjoyed your visit, the food AND the beer Regards Row More

Have eaten here many times (usually during the week when it's quiet) and always had good food. Went for the carvery this Sunday and the place was extremely busy, but service at the bar was good and we never felt "lost in the crowd". Generally I'm not a great fan of carveries - usually small portions of over-cooked, dry meat... More

It was a very busy Sunday......but so pleased that you didn't feel rushed in any way and it is lovely to hear that you enjoyed our carvery...we try to make it as special as possible, sorry about the Pheasant Plucker cider we have had problems with this product and had to reluctantly stop selling it we hope the company will... Found this place by accident after visiting the nearby nature reserve. The staff were friendly. The food was great. Freshly cooked, good sized portions. Lovely log fire. Can't wait to return and try the carvery on a Sunday. Clean pleasant smelling loos too, another bonus

We were invited to a lunch by the Catcott Village Association. We were welcomed on arrival and the drinks at the bar were very reasonably priced. The layout was perfect with most tables for four although they were catering for about 100. The carvery was excellent and the turkey (one of the largest we had seen) was perfectly cooked and... The Crown Inn at Catcott is wonderful! Row (landlady) was most accommodating for our table of 9 and we all had a brilliant evening. The food was excellent and the service was some of the best we have had whilst travelling. The gentleman on the bar who served our food and drinks was most pleasant and really made us feel... More

Ten family members visited the Crown Inn this evening for the Sunday carvery. It was good to be able to find a proper carvery on a Sunday evening as most places only serve it at lunchtime. We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived and the staff were excellent with our 11 month old baby and made him... More

Our second visit to the Crown was as good as the first. Beautiful home cooked food, big portion sizes in a lovely pub. The land lady, who does a lot of the food too is very welcoming and relaxed. From smoked haddock and leek fish cakes to steak and ale pie and home made puddings to break most diets! Thanks... More
