We visited this little tea room yesterday for breakfast. We were drawn in by the sign saying we welcome muddy boots and dogs... We were with our 2 boys and dog so this sounded perfect. (My son spotted the sign.) What a beautiful little tea room this is! Everything was perfect! Wonderful to see the Victorian era replicated everywhere you... More

I've never felt the need to write a review before, but....the other half and I popped in for an afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon and were delighted with our choice - really a cut above your average tea room. Everything from the scones to the crisps to the bread was home-made, and the portions were generous and delicious. The owners... More

We were blown away when we stepped into mrs jacskons tea room it's only small but definitely has the wow factor. The lady who runs it alongside her husband has thought about every detail it is like being in a sitting room they even dress up in character. They are very helpful and friendly and the food is fantastic home... More

What a lovely place. All the cakes, crumpets and scrumptious scones are homemade and there are plenty of delights to chose from along with a wide variety of leaf teas. Everything is served up on bone china in a room with a roaring fire. Unlike some other local tearooms (which were shut at the ludicrous hour of 4pm on a... More

Muddy Boots and Dogs welcome. Thank you for our lovely meal today! It was rather lovely! However I did have food envy when I saw the tiered plate full of sandwiches and cakes on the table next to us!! Ahhh well I can order them when we come and see you again on our next visit to Porlock!! Thank you... More

The Tea shop was lovely, warm and friendly, homemade cakes and bread! Also Gluten free. Fantastic range/choice of teas and beautiful china tea cups and plates. good personal service and nothing to much trouble. the only mix up was that the soup I had was a chicken curry and I was told it was chicken and vegetable, so just to... Four cream teas served in nice surroundings on a Sunday (when all the others could not be bothered to open). Nice tea and homemade scones, friendly service and nice people!

After a long walk in the hills, through the woodlands and across the moors on a chilly February day we came down into Porlock, cold and tired and in need of a hot drink and something nice to eat. The Victorian Tea Rooms was just perfect. The oldie worldy decor and a wood burning stove created such a warm and... More

We made an unplanned stop here on a misty and murky February day in Porlock. We found the tearooms so beautifully presented. It was a real treat to step in side. The tea we had was so refreshing. We will definitely return. It really was somewhere special.
