7 very cold and hungry friends and I headed to this lovely pub after a visit to Alton towers. Only 10 minutes away from the park it was an ideal spot for a lovely meal before heading home. This place Was an absolute godsend after the swarms of people at the park. We arrived just after 2pm, there was plenty... More

Ate there twice during our recent visit to Alton Towers. The Mixed Great was huge, and all the food we had was great. They usually don't serve food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so pick your night.

This pub is very close to Alton Towers so there were lots of families there having a good time, but this is also a proper village pub with atmosphere to match. Food was mostly pub classics, well put together and generously portioned. There's also a child's menu.

We pre booked a table of 11. We arrived and had our order taken about 20 minutes later... Half hour later the waitress came over to tell us that burgers had run out and we could have lamb burgers instead... We agreed... The food came out a whopping 1h and 15 minutes after ordering and when it arrived we still... More

We arrived after a long day at alton towers. We had travelled 125 miles so wanted to ensure we would have somewhere to eat. We booked a table the day before for 4 adults, two toddlers and two babies. When we arrived the table was ready with the high chairs already in place which is great often you have to... More

Great staff, lovely location and substantial menu, went Sunday night after visiting Alton towers and sat right down. Immediate service with lovely waitresses. Home made bread in plant pots.... Very different and tasty. Everyone's dishes were well presented, a lot of it and my mixed grill was awesome!! My boy made his own pizza which he was very happy about.... More

We were staying at Alton Towers Hotel, but wanted to give the local community some of our custom. We booked here online and had no idea what the place looked like. When we turned up, the outside didn't do it any justice, but we ventured in. The bar itself was dead quiet for a bank holiday Sunday and very dated... More
