Certainly not a bad place at all, its location is very nice as its by the lake and there is a very nice traditional atmosphere in the restaurant, the carvery is nice but they don't put much meat on your plate, that would be the only fault i have with the place, definitely worth having a walk round the lake... Been going here for a while and always been ok but they have put the price of the carvery up to £6.50 which sounds cheap but the young man carving put wafer thin meat on the plates and when we asked why he said he had been ordered to do this . There was hardly any meat on the plates... More

Very nice hotel and restaurant near Rudyard Lake. You can also eat in the bar if you like. Only tried the restaurant not rooms but the carvery lunch we had was excellent quality and value and the service friendly and efficient.

After dropping my brother and his wife at Manchester Airport this morning ... we wanted breakfast but were disappointed when went to Windmill, Denton previously, we went to Rudyard Carvery breakfast in Heaton Chapel, on the A6. What a stark contrast ........ excellent food, laid out beautifully, with easy access. The manager chatted with us too, which is always nice.

Excellent....the food, the service and the price. Will definitely visit again and bring the family. Very reasonably priced. The food was delicious with a large choice and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Generous portions...the hubby couldn't even manage a pudding!

a very good carvery on the 22nd Jan 2017, great value and nice surroundings, staff could force a smile a bit better than they do in the restaurant but hey! that's just a small thing.

Ate here today after a looooong walk around Rudyard Lake and we really impressed. We did our best to clean our muddy boots before entering as the place looks lovely from the outside but lots of customers were wearing walking shoes and the floor in the restaurant was laminated so they're obviously prepared! We were told which table we would... More
