The food is excellent at Heath House kitchen. There is a good but not overwhelming choice. The portion sizes are just right, you can easily enjoy three course and feel more than satisfied but not bloated. My steak was cooked to perfection. However, what made...for a truly pleasurable experience was the staff. From the moment the door was opened with a friendly "hello" until we left with a cheery "bye" they were helpful, friendly and attentive without being at all intrusive. They truly appeared to enjoy their work We especially enjoyed their brief impromptu singing at one point. Heath House Kitchen was really easy to find and we were made to feel very welcome despite us being a bit late for our table and looking like a mess after a busy day in Alton Towers. Emma was friendly and conversational and she and...her staff were attentive without being over-bearing. We had 2 delicious courses, my steak was cooked perfectly (for me) and they were even kind enough to accommodate a swap of mushrooms and tomatoes (which I don’t like) to some seasonal vegetables. Husband’s pie was equally delicious the meat was really high quality and tender, as was the pastry. We were both really to full for pudding, however we were enjoying the intimate atmosphere, music being played (but not so loudly we couldn’t enjoy a conversation) and the decor. We also spied some board games and would have happily stayed to play some. Overall we had a simply lovely anniversary dinner thanks to Emma and her team and I’m sure it would be a regular haunt for us if we didn’t live in Somerset!More

We visited last evening as a group of friends for our regular catch up. We were greeted warmly at the door where we immediately complimented the decor of flowers and fairy lights. The menu was varied with specials, one of which wasn’t available but an...alternative was offered. The food was delicious and flavoursome and well presented. The desserts were gorgeous. You know what to expect when you order a Sunday roast, but when I visited Heath House Kitchen on Easter Sunday, their roast was something special. The food was amazing! With an extremely generous serving of what I can only say was the most amazing...gravy! Gravy can make or break a roast in my eyes! The desserts were again fantastic; such generous servings. I enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. Service was outstanding from being greeted by Emma, to the staff checking throughout our meal. I look forward to visiting again.More

Went for a 3 course meal just before Christmas and it was AMAZING so returned for a family meal for my Aunts 90th birthday celebration and thanks to Emma, Dave and the time who pulled out all the stops made this evening the best for...my normally house bound aunt on this special occasion! The food is always spectacular and the staff are always obliging and help with absolutely anything and everything they can! They are always up for a giggle with my 3 year old and they are so amazing with the kids and what activities they put together for them. Could NOT fault a single thing! Fantastic food at excellent prices. The pulled cajun chicken was remarkable. Been here several times now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The staff are very knowledgeable attentive.

Went to celebrate my 50th birthday. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive even though they were very busy. Would recommend for any celebration great value for money.

This is our second time at Heath House and wow it does not disappoint! We both had the ribeye steak which was absolutely mouth watering - 100% recommend! Emma and Dave are probably the nicest couple and most attentive hosts you could find, nothing is...too much trouble, and the offering of decent dairy free desserts along side the dessert menu is very much welcome, as it’s usually just a vegan ice cream alternative. We will definitely be back again soon, thank you for a fab evening guys !More

Went for mum’s 100th birthday. Couldn’t fault the service, food or atmosphere. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, mum didn’t want to go home, she was treated like royalty, shook hands with the chef and another lady who was celebrating her 50th.
