Ok so is edible..My main is simply a bowl of mush. Spicy mush. I took advice to get naan as I was told it comes with nothing, so 8.95 for mush. The naan has more in common with poppadoms. This is boring, no variety of...colours, texture. Just bowl of mush and a stingy cracker bread naan. I feel like I need to still buy myself a dinner but I just ate..The plastic basket for the cold naan is the finishing touch.More

The great reviews are correct! This is a gem! Really tasty food and lovely staff. Great location! We ordered from the Chinese menu and had chilli salt tofu and chilli chicken for starters, both delicious. Then black bean king prawns and Szechwan chicken. Oh my...goodness, what gorgeous dishes! So well spiced. I even had a whole star anise in my prawns and the black beans were enormous! We also had egg fried rice which was light and lovely. Really good portion sizes too. Can’t wait to go back and try the Indian food!More

My 17 yr old some googled this restaurant and we went with the family a few weeks ago during our stay local to Kingston, we are out of town from Stoke Poges so the area was very new to us. My mum has some disability...with walking but the staff and Manager Dev Singh were really helpful and accommodated her needs. We were not disappointed, with the food either it was amazing, fresh and even my 2 fussy kids loved the choices, the Tarka dhal, chilly paneer was just delicious and the best we've ever tasted. 2 of us are vegetarians and there was a great choice of dishes for us too. Location is great too by the riverside in Kingston We will definitely be back. Thanks Chakra Kingston Riverside your food is delicious.More

Drove 30 minutes for dinner and boy was it worth it. I am a little fussy about good Indian food but this trip made it well worth it. We went straight in for the fish moillee (tilapia in a coconut sauce) , surkhi Jhinga (large...prawns marinated and grilled) butter chicken for the young 'un, aloo channa masala, dahl makhani and a selection of breads. All delicious but using a paratha to mop up the dahl took me back to a dhaba (roadside diner) experience back in India. The food was so good that we ordered extra at the end to bulk up on a takeaway. Given we have been visiting Kingston for a number of years, just disappointed it's taken us so long to stumble upon this gem. It's on the pricier side but that goes with the territory, namely quality! Look forward to bumping into Dev again.More

Food was ok. Onion and chilli Bhakti was greasy. Chicken tikka was flavoursome and tender. Chicken Korma was good, rice beautiful. Rogan Josh very tasty. Pratha was inedible, looked like they’d used a paintbrushito apply oil to it. Service. Oh dear. Dreadful. First server made...us feel as though she was interrogating us rather than taking an order. First course came quickly, they left us with dirty Lates for too long, main course slow to come. Once we had finished we waited 45 minutes looking at dirty plates. 45 minutes and not once were we approached by a server. My daughter had to leave and I waited like an idiot for something, anything from the servers. We wanted to take our leftovers with but I just couldn’t wait any longer. So we lost money. Location is lovely, food is ok as described, it I will never return to be treated like that. Shame.More

Lovely friendly restaurant with great views of the river. We were really impressed with the service. The food was both some unusual and some recognisable. We took a leap of faith and had the vegetarian mixed grill platter for starters - which was delicious. None...of us are vegetarians. The Tarka Dahl was the best my husband ever had - and the chicken in parcels were really tasty. The chicken tikka came as four very large pieces and we had the garlic naan which was crispy - unusual but a great compliment to the meal. We enjoyed just sitting watching the people and the boats go by….More

I had a fab time at chakra this weekend, Sunil and his team provided us with a great experience and I’d highly recommend it. In particular the avocado starter and the butter chicken were delicious. The price was also very reasonable.

Food was good. Drinks & Food were over priced. When we got our bill for the first time, few of the food items were billed twice the quantity we ordered. We got that corrected and then got our final bill. We paid our bill and...after we left I realized the salad was charged incorrectly for the amount mentioned in menu. Although it's a matter of £1 but still that's wrong. Salad's actual rate is £1.95 and they charged £2.95. I have attached the bill for reference. So do check your bill before you pay and make sure you are charged rightly.More
