Last time we visited it was the best roast we had ever had, today we left feeling very disappointed. After waiting half an hour for our table that we had pre-booked, we finally got our Sunday roast an hour and a half after we arrived with a teaspoon of red cabbage, 4 green beans, 3 of the tiniest carrots I... Situated on the road to Hamton Wick train station, this is a lovely Pub with great food 6 days a week. Staff are friendly and efficient and a good atmosphere is guaranteed.

Visited on a cold windy night, period features everywhere, the exposed brickwork had a rustic feel and a fireplace providing that much needed warmth. Great bangers and mustard mash, good Ales, service was good. Great find, will be back.

Have been going here for a few years now and I think they became over confident! Yes they are not a chain but the food has been exactly the same for some time now and they are in danger of thinking they are better than they really are!

It's rare to find something other than a chain restaurant in Kingston so this place is a refreshing change. Reasonably priced, unusual menu, very friendly service and quirky decor -what's not to like?

I previously lived close to the Foresters and always enjoyed going for drinks and food. My wife and I had wanted a cosy pub for dinner on a cold winters night and thought we'd pay a visit as it had been about 6 years since our last. The decor has changed slightly and it looks great. Exposed brick walls provide... More

Booked dinner for 4pm with family, was my first time in this pub and we were pleasantly surprised. Wine was excellent while waiting to be seated, there was a bit of a wait but the waitress apologised and we were taken to our table which was situated in what I can only call an antique shop! It was really quite... More

Booked for Sunday lunch at 1. They told me to book for 12.45 which i did and then they kept us waiting for half an hour with no explanation - hate that. When i eventually had to remind them -hate that too- i got the impression they had just forgotten us. We were shown into a cramped characterless side room... More

Popped in again last week with a friend, haven't been in for while, nothings changed, still an example to all around on how to run a great pub. Jack and Natalia, are two great additions to an already lovely and welcoming team. They told me of the new head chef Sam and thankfully nothing has changed in the kitchen too... More

Description
Hampton Wicks The Foresters, situated on the High Street, brings a splash of Parisian style and Brooklyn charm to the traditional neighbourhood pub-restaurant. The wonderful dcor, incorporating open fires, cosy leather sofas and exposed brick walls meet with a no-children-under-ten policy to create a sophisticated, grown up feel thats still fun thanks to Sunday evenings Big Quiz (with a 50 cash prize), a regular geeky games nights, featuring all your favourite classic board games, live music performances on a Saturday as you dine, and a generally relaxed, convivial atmosphere created by both staff and guests. The Foresters modern British menu changes every month, the chefs skills and imagination supported by seasonal produce fresh from the market, allowing for delectable daily specials. The kid of local most Londoners must dream of finding, The Foresters, with its Sunday roasts and friendly feel, well stocked bar and blackboard offerings, is a real must-visit pub. Children must be over the age of 10 to dine in this restaurant.
