One can not complain about this hotel, the staff is friendly, rooms are clean, but nevertheless, we had expected something different. The photographs of the timber wood house are a bit misleading, as this is only one side of the hotel. A lot of the rooms are actually in a modern building, and are very much like hotel rooms of... Food still very good, however the service is very slow. New untrained staff are no help whatsoever to the manager who is racing around doing meet and greet, taking food orders, cooking steak Diane at the tables. When one 'waitress' came with the bread rolls I asked her what type they were ie; what were the seeds on the top... More

Stayed here last month as a last minute get away and couldn't fat a single thing about it! The staff were all friendly and the location is great too. The room we stayed in was really clean and the beds are so comfy! (and i don't usually sleep well away from home, but slept soundly here!)

We held a 2 day training course here, Which was very reasonable. The food was fantastic and the staff are really friendly. It's a lovely building, with a pool and spa. I'd highly recommend it.

We had dinner and breakfast here. The dinner was exceptional, all 3 of us had steak and it was cooked to our liking, the hand cut chips are particularly nice and the onion rings were the best we ever tasted. The staff we very friendly and attentive, offering us suggestions on the menu. We were not disappointed. Breakfast was porridge... More

Lovely setting. Friendly hosts. The flambeed steak Diana is a nice uncommon experience. Menu on the more expensive side, but high quality. Will return.

Nice comfy beds, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Only one body wash in the bathroom for two and no shampoo. Very friendly and effecient staff. We had to leave before 7.00 and the receptionist had arrange sandwiches, croissants and apples to go. Very nice touch thank you

Went for a family wedding and had a great time. Food and wine was excellent. The only fault was that the disco lights were too frantic. The decor was beautifully festive

Awful works Christmas do, no atmosphere, staff were not accommodating. They didn't ask our meal preferences, just placed down the same meal for everyone. Extremely tiny portions, cold turkey dinner which consisted of frozen veg and soggy stuffing and one thin slice of turkey with 3 sprouts and 2 potatoes! Definitely not worth the money. Although the live band was... More
