Expensive establishment. Bar has a long wait due to only 2 staff members on a busy night, little bar snacks availability. Have tp order at the bar or chase the waitress to gain service. Expected better. Food quality good but would rather spend half at...More
Hi AMD Thanks for taking the time to review your last visit with us. Sorry to see that we let you down this visit. I do hope you will come and give us another try. Many thanks Zeb Greer
Long wait at the bar. Food average, service poor. Low to mid range price, and you get what you pay for at the Dun Cow. Starters were served in good time but lacked any quality, they tried to serve the main course without taking the...More

I first visited this old coaching Inn some 47 years ago and enjoyed a mixed grill of over grilled chops offal and sausage with over cooked roasties sprouts and shrivelled carrots. The beer was 1 shilling and eleven pence for best and a bottle of...More

We ate here one evening whilst on a fishing trip. The meal was very nice and of good quality, we both had Hunters Chicken. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. Will certainly visit again.
Hi Gary Thanks for taking the time to give us this fantastic review. I hope that you enjoyed your fishing trip and that we will see you again soon. Many thanks Zeb Greer
Excellent food with comprehensive (but not excessive menu choice) complemented by friendly and attentive, though intensive service. Reasonable pricing, especially from the set menu options, which also provided plenty of choice. Our server was friendly and helpful. My rump steak was cooked perfectly and the...More

I have only just registered with Tripadvisor and it is due to a visit made to The Dun Cow with friends a few weeks ago, all because it was possibly the worst service I have encountered in a pub/bar/restaurant for many years. I work in...More

There is a great history and atmosphere just walking in the door. The Doom Bar on draft is amazing. The food is great. This is a fun place to sit with and listen to locals.
