Just stumbled upon the Plough. Great food and a good atmosphere even though it was late afternoon. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Everything you need in a good pub, pool, tv, etc.

went last night, with friends to the plough. Never let down yet. The meal was really good. Nice and hot and there is plenty of choice. Not many in on a thursday night, but they seem to have special nights where there is a curry night, steak night etc. We will defininately be back soon. Thank you.

Usually just have a glass of wine but had lunch last Sunday and the food was very good with a range of vegetables for one to help oneself to. This is a friendly local pub with good food and excellent service. They have special nights e.g. Fish Night. The full menu is still available but the special is at a... More

Been for lunch with my family, had an amazing starter in the plough platter and was fast and extremely tasty, had 2 x kids meals which my youngest demolished both as he stole his brothers and my partner wanted something that was not on the menu and they were more than happy to make it for us, all in all... Yes I agree with other reviewers comparing it with the Malt Shovel it is a great pub with great food infact it's my favourite place BUT you also have to give this place some credit too. Came here in October 2016 as a... More

Staff are nice. Food is rubbish. Clearly microwaved. Run down pub, shabby. Management are not nice people. Rude. I would avoid this place and go to the malt shovel up the road. Big portions, cooked properly.

Wow, after several great reviews what a surprise. The staff are all nice you are correct. None of our food is microwaved it is all fresh, delivered daily. The pub is currently undergoing a refurb, starting with new windows and exterior painting. myself and my partner are experienced publicans with 25years in the trade and are told regularly how polite... We went on Friday evening, there were quite a few people eating but they got us a table for two. Steak and burger were ordered both came nicely presented, tasty and gorgeous chips. Good value for money, relaxed atmosphere but do eat early evening as the pub starts filling up with young people and the music does get loud. For... More

Glad you enjoyed your meal. We do only have 17 spaces on the carpark, however we do have an overspill carpark to the rear of the property accessible from Plough Hill Road. Hope this helps for future visits. Thank you for your review. More
