We have visited this carvery many times over the years and this was the first time since its upgrade. As usual we were allocated a table very quickly although it was as always very busy. The queue for the carvery was long and we had...More

Thank you. The team will be pleased to read your comments

It’s had a makeover but it wasn’t as encompassing as we expected - it still looks like a fairly aged pub with some overly busy soft furnishings and a large queue for the carvery. Food wise it was fine - one of us had carvery...More

I am not a fan of Greene King's restaurants; my nearest, the Griffin, after a bright start when it reopened, is terrible. But friends told me that the Longshoot had been given a long overdue refit, and that on Thursday there was an offer of...More

Mostly avoid carveries however, it was my dad's birthday and he wanted to go. I was very pleasantly surprised. Meat was lovely (I had beef), thinly sliced and beautifully cooked. Wide range of vegetables with best roast parsnips I have seen in a long time.

Just had the best carvery I’ve ever eaten. Everything was superb! Food was delicious and there was plenty of everything. All the staff are amazing, work so hard and very very helpful. Shows how popular they are when it was rammed to the rafters. Says...More

Well for £6.49 a head mid week we weren’t expecting Michelin dining. The carvery was good, the staff were friendly. We didn’t order anything else off the menu. Pretty much does what it says.
