I go here most Saturday & Sundays for breakfast with the weirdo Veg Wife and we love the breakfast. Staff are brill, food is brill and so is the bill. £2.89 for a breakfast??? I couldn't buy it, cook it and wash the dishes for that much. I do wish that there was another way of bringing in the cages... More

Hello Si W, We're glad to hear that you're enjoying our breakfasts, we do strive to aim for the highest standards possible. And glad we're saving you some washing up :) We fully understand the disruption that the cages can cause during a busy breakfast service and are currently looking into other options to see if we can improve this.... If I should die, think only this of me: one of Rupert Brooke's famous poems, but if you haven't tried the food here then you should, it's 'to die for'. Staff are lovely and friendly, good choice of beers, the food is great and it's always busy. Give it a try, sure you will enjoy it.

Nice to see Musa back! Family run restaurant with good choice of meals and snacks at reasonable prices. Popular for the traditional 'fry-up' served all day and a daily special at a good price including pudding. If you can't manage the pudding you can take it home with you! Brilliant chef, friendly and polite staff. Nothing is too much for... More

Decent Wetherspoon's food, reasonable prices speedy food service! Only downside on this visit was slow bar service, at one point just one staff member on the bar at one point with 5/6 people waiting for drinks!

Looked great food on the web so decided to give it a try. First visit here. Fish cake starter was horribly bland with no dipping sauce. Slow roast pork was mediocre. Apple sauce or similar would have been nice to offset the richness and fat on this kind of meat. Double cooked chips were obviously not as they were greasy... More

Am almost becoming a regular here due to the great value for money and excellent staff. Called in last night for steak club and the sirloin was excellent. Really well cooked, tender and well seasoned. Including a great choice of drinks (superb real ale) it was excellent value and quality. The staff here are always friendly, helpful and are a... More
