This place is wonderful on a nice sunny day. It's wonderful sitting by the canal waving at the boats. Good food but gets VERY busy at the weekends / holidays. Service can be slow when busy.

Gone are the salad choices that my wife was able to choose... More

So 4 adults, 4 kids and a baby set off down the road, first impressions good, by the canal enough spaces outside, but to warm so inside again nice and spacious. Then downhill very fast, slow service at the tills, waited for ever for... More

There are some pubs that have everything, apart from the management. They Old Royal Oak has good beer and food when they are quiet but it seems that the management refuse to put the required staff on at busy times. On weekends, especially sunny ones, you are lucky if there is more than one member of staff serving, meaning everone... More
