Took a trip out to the Cotswold for a couple of hours and ended up in Shipston. Managed to park on the main road for up to 2hrs ( for free ) and went for a slow walk through the village browsing through the shop windows until we ended up outside Mrs Brown's which was quite appropriate as our surname is also Brown. When you first walk in you think you're in a library until you notice that it's wallpaper. Carona notices were visible, friendly staff gave us a choice of tables to sit at, we completed the mandatory Corona form and ordered English breakfast tea, regular black coffee and one slice of Orange Chocolate cake and one Millionaire's Short Bread ( Chocolate & Caramel on top of shortcake ) - both were delicious and quite filling. There were two on duty , both were very friendly and polite. Give it a try you won't go wrong.

My partner and I had heard a lot about the amazing lunch takeaways at Mrs Brown’s so we decided to get a ‘light lunch’ takeaway to treat ourselves before Christmas. It was absolutely delicious! We had the lasagne and lamb hotpot followed by treacle tart and bread & butter pud. The food was outstanding and the portions were excellent.
We had to cancel a Christmas pub lunch because of the covid tiers but our Mrs Brown’s lunch absolutely made up for it! The team even gave us some free Christmas crackers and biscuits and, as new customers, a couple of slices of complementary cake were included too. An absolutely lovely surprise!
Thank you so much!

We called into Mrs Browns on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Breakfast was satisfying and reasonably priced, with a vegetarian option available and milk alternatives for tea/coffee. It is a nice atmosphere inside, very clean with friendly and efficient staff. Mrs Browns is also dog friendly!

What a restorative and friendly restaurant Mrs Brown's in Shipston on Stour is.
The large windows add to the relaxed and ambience of the room with its light decor and it's interesting range of local gifts on sale.
The luncheon food was so fresh and homely as well as being beautifully cooked and served with attention to detail.
I look forward to my next visit.
Thankyou Mrs Brown.

Found Mrs Browns on our first morning walking round the village …. And so glad we did!! Went in for a coffee and decided to have a slice of cake as well! Had the carrot cake and it was the best carrot cake I have had in a long while!! Decided to go back for Sunday lunch…. It was lovely! Not a huge menu but you will find something. Sunday roast had got plenty of veg and was very tasty. My husband has an obsession with custard and they went out of their way to make sure he had plenty to keep him happy with his Bread and Butter pudding! Went back later in the week for a full English breakfast and again, it was great! So nice to find a small friendly place that the owners went out of their way to talk to you and make sure you had everything you need. Everything we had during the week was cooked just right and really tasty. Highly recommended!

We were travelling up the Fosse Way and was looking for lunch. We stopped at Shipston on Stour and loved the way this place looked.
We entered and had excellent service immediately. We opted for a Ciabatta sandwich and a slice of cake. Absolutely excellent.
The sandwich arrived with a hearty side salad and the mixed root vegetable crisps.
The cakes were lovely too.
Not expensive and the service perfect.
One aspect were really like was that the proprietor seemed to know everyone by their first name as they entered. I find this totally reassuring because the locals can be fickle. There were no issues here.
Wholeheartedly recommend this as a fantastic lunch stop or more.

My friends and I visit Mrs Brown’s tea rooms weekly. We always have wonderful service from the very friendly staff. There is always a different selection of cakes every visit and it’s hard to choose as they are all delicious and cater for gluten intolerance, lactose intolerant and vegans.
I personally have had lunch there and the amount you get is definitely value for money.
Highly recommend a visit.

After house hunting in the area we had 1 hour to kill and was hungry. We found this lovely place by accident and decided to pop in for a drink and snack. What a lovely relaxing place. I had the soup and sandwich, the soup was homemade watercress soup which was divine, the sandwich was freshly made and the bread was lovely. My husband had a fruit scone with jam and cream. It was beautiful and the service was excellent. Thank you ladies, We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service, as I said, was excellent 👌

We had tuna sandwich which was on lovely fresh bread but filling could have been more generous. But the cream tea was lovely, with a warm scone. Good choice of teas. Also sells teas and jams and teapots.

We arrived on a busy Saturday for lunch, greeted warmly and promised a table would be free for us in a few minutes.
We chose the homemade soup with cheese scone and also soup with sandwich to share. Our tea was presented in teapots which they also sell. We couldn't resist the homemade cakes on offer either.
All food was delicious and service was excellent.
Wouldn't hesitate to return when next in the area.
A real Cotswolds gem.

This the second time we have visited Mrs Browns and the cream teas are absolutely delicious. The generously sized scone was lovely and warm and there was ample jam and cream too, all washed down with a lovely strong cup of tea. We will definitely visit again when in the area

This tea room is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and professional. The food is very tasty and well presented. Options for Vegan and Gluten Free catered for. It is a cash only establishment purely to keep the costs affordable , however there is a cash machine next door outside the bank. The menus are all under a glass table top for superb hygiene and is kept sanitised straight after you vacate your seating area. We will definitely be visiting again. A definite 10/10 A++

Booked a Sunday lunch after eating their perfect lemon drizzle cake. Charming intimate cafe. Very good personal service from friendly waitress. Lunch was one of the best I’ve tasted. Generous portions set on lovely china. We chose beef which was melt in the mouth delicious. The meal came with at least four freshly cooked different vegetables and real Yorkshire pudding. Individual gravy jugs full of flavoursome gravy completed the meal. A good variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks were on offer and a good dessert menu. The prices were very good value. A thoroughly enjoyable meal which probably rivalled mum’s Sunday dinner!
