Staff is friendly and helpfull. Drinks are readily available but over priced. As there is NO other place to unless you want to drive a windy road to Oberon.... so you cannot drink at all.........you are stuck here.

Had a couple of pre-dinner drinks. Staff were friendly and prices reasonable. They also do light food - garlic bread, chips etc if you are a bit peckish. Lounge area beside the bar is great for a relax.

Visited for an afternoon bevvy with intentions of sitting down to enjoy the ambience in the lead up to dinner. Very small area with limited tables which had been shifted tiogether by a couple of large groups leaving nothing for couples or singles like us. Purchased a beer and a glass of wine and took them downstairs to the extremely... More

I rated this terrible because I could not eat here. So other two of my mates. I was offered "Neapolitan pasta", at night??????? I needed proteins, pasta with tomato sauce has none. The other vegetarian had the same issue. A celiac did not have options. Thus, we had to drive 30 min to Oberon to find a place where I... More

However, if you want a cheap meal that is the same quality as Chisholms, then this is the place to eat.

On the website before we came they advertise two craft beers they have on tap and in bottles. I am a home brewer, so I enjoy a finely made ale. After two cave tours I had built up quite a thirst for my craft beer on tap. When they opened I asked for a glass of their famous pale ale... More

It's almost like this bar was an after thought to the whole Caves House building. It feels like it's been shoved in a corner and while the bar is reasonably sized it feels more like a jaded RSL club than an Victorian Palour experience. The snack menu was a bit pedestrian but there was plenty of drink. But over all,... More

Worst ambience of a so called bar we have experienced, half the wine list not available, poor attitude of the manager & incredibly rude! The area to sit & have a drink is cold & uninviting with no ambience! Don't expect a drink before 4pm!! You will pay top coin for a drink, our advise bring your own!!

We arrived around 3pm to have a late lunch. Although the eating area was extremely dirty (which was off putting at first) the food that was still available was surprisingly good.

We only had a drink here, but it is really adorable. The lounge is gorgeous, it is like you have gone back in time and are in an old place. Loved all the photos around the whole of Caves House. Showing all the old places as the place grew. Staff were really lovely.

Thank Judie J
