5 min walk from Cruise boats and town centre. Good quality accommodation and the on site restaurant is also a highlight. Suggest bring own breakfast supplies if here for 2 or 3 days.

After 4 weeks touring Tasmania I have finally found a 5 star steak. A quality cape grim eye fillet cooked to perfection (M/R). No need for steak knives here, this was a melt in the mouth steak. The salmon/ocean trout gravalax duo was very nice, the calamari was very tender, the field mushroom very tasty but could have been a... More

We ate here on one of our two nights in Strahan. After walking past to view the menu, we decided to ignore the advice of our B&B hosts to eat elsewhere in Strahan, and made a booking for dinner. While the views over the water were terrific, unfortunately, our meal did not meet expectations and was quite expensive to boot.... More

We enjoyed our stay here. We chose a new ground level room which was beautifully presented with quality furnishings, a functional kitchenette, a large bathroom, a king size bed, comfy couch and an outlook to the water. A bonus was a complimentary carafe of sherry.

We ate here one evening of our two night stay. It appeared very busy with both locals and visitors. Atmosphere was friendly and relaxed with wait staff able to assist with menu selection by describing meal ingredients. The meals chosen by our group of four were varied and enjoyed by us all. There was a good selection of mainly local... More

Watering staff were very attentive but didn't have the skills to perform as waitering staff in a fine dining restaurant. Ask for a vodka martini and was asked if I would like soda or lemonade,I proceeded to google the recipe for her but she advised me the bar didn't have the ingredients .we ordered the calamari which arrived cold and... We came to Risby Cove on the recommendation of a local. I am prepared to concede that we had been spoilt by six days of fabulous food in Hobart and Tamar and self-catering with amazing local produce. I also concede that the dining options in Strahan are limited as it is a small place. However when you are paying Hobart/mainland... More

We had a really good dinner here. The food was fresh and interesting. Staff were friendly and professional. The aspect looking out over the water is beautiful. Recommend.

Great food and lovely location. Professional staff, excellent wine list and a nice atmosphere especially at sunset.
