After a roadmap trip over Col St Roch we found this restaurant in a quiet town, Luceram. Friendly host served great lunch plates in a specially decorated venue. €70 for three pax, full lunch with beverages, desserts, coffey and a pichet of rose. Hope we...can return some day.More

Visited at lunchtime, as weather poor sat inside which is cave like room hollowed out of the hillside. Unique setting. I had steak with pommes Dauphinois which were the best I had ever tasted. Madame the chef wanders round tables talking to customers. We had...a good explanation in English of the recipe for the Pommes. My wife did not want a large meal and they don't do simple stuff, however Madame offered to cook her up some plain veg if she wanted it. I see others think this expensive but 14e for this meal was good value for me and the food was excellent.More

This place was the only restaurant available and they abused the situation. It was far too expensive for the mediocre quality. The service was slow and the staff unpleasant and we found a hair in the pie!

We had lunch here after they opened at 1400 hours (2PM). Starting off with a delicious house wine served with a bowl of small olives under the vine canopy outside the building. The inside is well decorated to appear like the inside of a cave....The weather was so nice we opted for outside seating. My wife had pasta with delicious mushrooms in a creamy, wine enhanced sauce. I stuck with the wine ans some great bread (this is France after all). After tasting the sauce on the pasta I assume everything else is probably just as good. Service was very good, and the chef was very nice and friendly even though there was a bit of a language barrier. In all we had a relaxing and enjoyable meal.More

Had lunch here today after a long walk in the hills, there is a modest outside terrace in the shade of a vine, it's right on the road, but that is quiet and did not intrude. There is a short and varied menu, which should...suit most tastes with mains from about €12 to €18. I had a steak frites which was very nice, a bit over cooked, but of such excellent flavour that I only mentioned it after I was finished. The charming waitress assured me she would tell the chef. I had the impression that everything was prepared fresh. There was a nice selection of 'pression' beers. I will definitely come back, probably next week! This is not 'fine dining' but a very nice stop if you are in the area. It was well frequented by locals as well as passing cyclists and walkers.More

I've been on a cycling holiday in Nice for the past week and on our last day we got caught, high up on a mountain when poor weather descended upon us. The three of us were coming down these steep and wet switchbacks from the...mountain top and it didn't take long for us to feel really cold. We were so panicky to find some relief. We were so lucky to have found this restaurant La Boccafina in Luceram. They were sort of closed but because of the amazing wait staff and owner we were given such great treatment and they reopened for us. We even got to hang up our wet clothes on their radiator they cooked a huge, warm and fantastic meal for us. The owner put hot tea in our water bottles for the ride the rest of the way down the mountain.More
