This restaurant is an older place with plenty of charm. The restaurant while large is broken down into numerous rooms that give the illusion of eating in an intimate setting. Service and food were much above average.

Although we went on a Friday evening at around 7:30 the place wasn't over crowded. That being said, the decor was reminiscent of an old Inn or sailing ship with thick beams, Old lead stain glass windows and even a suit of armor. The food was excellent if a little pricey with most items listed "at market price". The only... More

A little off the beaten path, but well worth the five-minute trip downtown from the interstate. Charming ambiance. Fast, friendly service. And WONDERFUL food. The pasta was home-made and delicious. The seafood perfectly prepared. The salads were fresh. We didn't have steaks, but they sounded wonderful. A great change of pace from the sameness of the chain places. It's always... More

This place is decorated like an old ship or shipping warehouse, but also has a suit of armor. Seating & meals in the bar, the restaurant and in the basement. Staff is friendly and very well trained. Bar waiters have been there for 40 years. Great Italian food, warm hospitality and great ambience. Right downtown with a large parking lot... More

A group of 6 golfers went here on a Tuesday evening...food was very good, a somewhat limited wine selection, and interesting eclectic decor. Not cheap but a decent value. Our waitress, Alexis was very personable and attentive

Fancier then I expected. The food was very good and the staff treated us well. Would make a excellent place to stop for a couple out for a night on the town.

The atmosphere and bread are the best two aspects of this restaurant. The food is descent but nothing to write home to mom about, the pricing is a little high for what you receive. Service is also very good usually.

We went for dinner this weekend and hit happy hour where we got the most amazing onion rings, and two flat bread pizzas and drinks for just under $20. Such a deal. Interior reminds me of an old European elks lodge or smoking cigar lounge. Very ornate style and very dark. Huge place with a downstairs seating as well.

Great bar seating! Food is always good as well as the service. Certain portions of the restaurant are a little cramped. It might be difficult for someone in a wheelchair to navigate.

The Old Market House Inn is a wonderful restaurant in Zanesville. You can almost imagine business leaders of the past sipping brandy and discussing back room deals in every corner. The place has a character to it that you can't find in newer steak houses. The staff is wonderful and always willing to chat with you a little. The OMHI... More
