We stopped in for a tour of the lodge and were pleasantly surprised. The bar looks like it is from the 1800's. Tons of pictures and history when this was the hub of gold country. We had ice cream in waffle cones and some home...More

I had the BIGFOOT burger and it was fantastic. Also had a side order of fried jalapenos that were some of the best I've had.

Really good food, souvenirs, mini mart, gas, etc. One of the only places on Hwy 26 between Sumpter and John Day. Beautiful old fashioned wooden bar in the restaurant! Great French fries and buffalo burgers! Very friendly owners. Enjoyed the meal and the visit!

I've always driven by this my whole life & never had the chance to go inside. 20 years old & I finally go in & was amazed! Yummy fudge & sweet treats, a little market & full blown restaurant. Close to Bates State Park!

I always brake for huckleberries, so when we saw a sign that said "huckleberry milkshakes", we stopped in the middle of the road, backed up and pulled in the parking lot. It was so worth it. There is a restaurant, which if we'd had more...More
