4 of us dined at Kayo's last week and two folks shared a great looking prime rib dinner with an abalone appetizer. My wife and I decided on razor clams after the server said the clams were very good and supposedly lightly battered. The clams turned out to be heavily battered, very small and extraordinarily tough and stringy. Expensive, too.... More

Thank you for your response. I am wondering if you mentioned this to your server, because My policy is that no customer leaves unhappy. We sell many orders of razor clams and have very few problems, but they can be over cooked, which is what yours sound like. They should have fixed it at the time if given the chance.... More

We have dined here often and this month twice within one week. The first time had the scallops and roasted beets which was excellent along with oysters on the half shell. That was a Thursday and they were $32 for a dozen. Next time on Wednesday when we dined they were $12 a dozen. We then had the filet which... More

Wen for my 61st birthday to get the prime rib. Absolutely THE BEST in town. Was perplexed though when i saw lamb chops in the specials. Kayo showed up at our table to chat. He said they would make me a combo. God, it was AWESOME!! Then he sent out a seafood sampler platter that is amazing! The french fries... More

Not well known by tourists but certainly one of top restaurants in Bend. Extensive Seafood menu and always fresh. The Filet Oscar not only melts in your mouth and is perfectly cooked, but unlike most restaurants, they didn't skimp on the Dungeness Crab, Service excellent and ambiance a big plus as you can actually visit with your fellow diners without... Kayo's has been around a long time, and at different locations. They have an exceptional bar with great happy hour drinks and appetizers. It's my favorite place in Bend to go for oysters on the half shell -- a bit tiny for my taste, but they're what most folks like. Lots of other choices as well -- definitely try the... More

We were staying in the motel which shares the restaurant parking lot and, since the motel was just okay, we didn't have our hopes up. Boy, were we surprised! Excellent food. White tablecloths indicated an upscale setting, but despite our casual dress we were made to feel comfortable, and quickly realized we weren't alone. Two fabulous meals: crab cakes and... More

We selected this restaurant because of the reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is great with quiet tables, low background music, and attentive but discreet waiter. The food was quality and cooked as ordered. The prices may be a little high but locally competitive. We had halibut fish and chips and a sirloin steak followed by... More

This was recommended by our hotel. It was 'fancier' than we expected when we walked in though the food and service did not disappoint, We had 2 fish dishes which were excellent and included vegetables and a starch. The owner engaged us and made sure everything was fine.

Recommended by locals, it was also convenient to our hotel. It was a Thursday night, and we were seated immediately. I was slightly concerned about ordering the abalone since I was in the middle of Oregon. My husband ordered the lamb. Both meals were so delicious, cooked perfectly, accompanied by beautifully prepared mashed potatoes and veges. This restaurant deserves to... More
