The best of the chains. When you order any of their breakfast meats you get good bacon sausage and ham! Other places offer cheaper cuts. Simple good food.

Lot's of places to eat in Medford, OR; however once we saw the Black Bear there must have been a tractor beam that pulled us into the place. Our car just drove right in and in minutes we were in heaven. They specialize in comfort...More
Breakfast for five yielded average portions of average food for a moderately overpriced bill. Crowded, because of it's good location, yielded longer than usual wait times. Heard reports of this place being over the top, but seriously it isn't worthy.
Never a bad meal here, great serving sizes. Like a Steak they have them with the trimmings chicken and Turkey too.
The breakfast is very good eggs, pancakes, French toast, omelette are all good on a consistent basis. Wait staff is very good and usually pretty fast. Lunch is pretty good sandwiches burgers etc. pies and prices are reasonable.

Good home style cooking at a really good price. We had never been here before and really enjoyed! Would come back anytime.

Charming! Delicious! Friendly! We didn't realize they were closing in 10 minutes because they didn't bat an eye when we arrive shortly before closing; they welcomed us. I had the club sandwich with a side salad, but I could've chosen french fries, potato salad, or...More
I have eaten at many of the Black Bear Diners, especially since it began in my home town, Mt. Shasta, CA. One thing that I have found is that no matter where the Black Bear Diner is located the food is consistently good and fairly...More
