The food was great, the service was average, but the atmosphere was ruined. This is a small country type BBQ place. The pulled pork had a great smokey flavor. But after sitting and ordering, the staff decided to crank up the ranchero music, which completely ruined the atmosphere. This was not playing when we walked in, and it does not... More

This place draws locals as well as adventuresome visitors as it stands as one of the best BBQ spots in the west. It is a gem in the rough.

Going on the "fruit loop" made this stop due to reviews on fruit loop map. My husband and I arrived around 1pm on Wednesday so we were off the weekend crowd times. Got seated right away, place filled up once we were there. We shared the lunch entree of the famous pulled pork with two sides. We asked for help... More

This was an unexpected treat while touring the fruit loop of Oregon. The place was crowded at 3 pm and there was a bit of a wait. The delay was well worth it as the food was tasty and plentiful. The servers were really jammed but they worked very hard and got things done.Would definitely stop again during apple season.

Ok. I've been BBQ deprived. That being said, from where we parked the perfume of BBQ smoke carried both of us across the street & into the restaurant. I ordered the pulled pork & 1/4 rack ribs with corn bread & macaroni & cheese for the 2 sides lunch. Have you ever eaten anything that was so good that your... More

Eat early, this place closes at 8 p.m. We had ribs and pulled pork, both delicious, served with baked beans (a bit too sweet, lots of molasses, I think) and cole slaw. It was a lot more than we could eat and served us for lunch the next day as well.

We were touring Mt. Hood area for the day with 30+ family members. We arranged ahead of time to meet at Apple Valley BBQ for lunch and provided them with our individual orders in advance. They had all our meals boxed and ready for us with our names labeled. We took our meals across the street to picnic tables behind... More

We visited this restaurant for lunch when passing through on a Friday afternoon. When you walk up to the door it smells like heaven! The restaurant was very busy but we were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the menu. We shared a ribs and pulled pork with garlic fries and mac and cheese... More
