We were visiting our son and daughter in Portland and they suggested Nedd Ludd. We were a party of 5 and decided to sit outside on a warm September evening at a long table on their secluded patio. The table that they were prepping inside...More

Wood fired normally means pizza, but Ned Ludd uses a wood fired oven for almost everthing. there were three of us and we shared a charcuterie board (excellent), mussels, risotto and a hangar steak plate. It was plenty. Save room for the oven kissed chocolate...More

We visited our son in Portland recently and he and his wife took us to Ned Ludd for dinner. I love food, but found the menu to be rather strange and not very traditional. The name might refer to Luddites. The menu has much to...More

We were a party of 9 celebrating a colleague's promotion. Needless to say we spent a small fortune on the "feast" and drinks and though I have no qualms about the food - it was quite delicious, the treatment we received was less then stellar....More

We came here for dinner and got quite a lot of different dishes including the bread, cheese plate, mussels, and trout. Overall, I did think it was overpriced. The food wasn't spectacular. Tried some cool cider though and service was good.

Dinner last night was just wonderful! The Ludd board, shared by 4 was a wonderful start to our evening. We also shared the radish appetizer, so so, and the pepper with aioli mayo, which was very nice. The squash with blistered tomatoes fell short for...More

Cool concept, really good food. Waitress was helpful and made great recommendations. We weren't hungry enough to try The Feast ($60 pp), but seemed like a good way to go. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The couple just after us, did...More

went to Ned Ludd based on Trip Advisor reviews. Our service at the outset was great, but as the areas of tables filled around us, the service went from Great to good to poor, back to good at the end. They impose a 18% gratuity,...More

Loved the homey vibe at Ned Ludd. Alot of knick knacks, plants and macrame makes it feel like an authentic "luddite" location. We started with some cool cocktails. Their version of an old fashioned was very well made. The food was great! We ordered the...More
