My son asked us to meet him for our first taste of Dim Sum. I can only compare it to the Chinese food we have experienced. It was absolutely delightful. We had mostly steamed small plates that were presented in small metal steamers or placed decoratively on white plates. We could not eat all that we wanted to try and... More

This is the second time I've been to hk cafe and both times I had the worst service. My Family sat there for over 20 minutes, only one cart came by for dim sum, they never brought us water or tea I tried to flag someone down and they completely ignored us. Seem to go to every table around us... More

Have been coming by here over the past few years. The prices have gone up but the choices are varied and quite sound. Very crowded on the weekends, especially the noontime hours. Service is better than average.

I love the dimsum offerings here , however ,waiting for an hour wasn't worth it though. We were here to celebrate my parents 53rd wedding anniversary on New Year's day. Total chaos at the waiting area. And when we were seated, only one cart was roaming with not much to offer, everything we wanted was no longer available and its... More

We were there waiting an hour and 45 min. And the waitress who served is terrible, rude, should be fired!

Long wait at brunch time but totally worth it. Great dim sum in a typically sparse and busy setting. Come hungry and bring lots of friends-the more the better because you'll be able to sample everything.

I came to Portland for a quick weekend trip and happened upon the HK Cafe. I tend to be a bit picky regarding my food, but after viewing the menu, the authentic nature of the environment, and how crowded it stays, I decided to give it a try. The food was very good, authentic, and with very generous portions. The... More

This place has very authentic dim sum, so don't be surprised by the crowded people there. Not ideal if you are in rush, since it is likely to have to wait to be seated. There was nothing I didn't like! Literally. It's better to go in group, so you can try a bite of everything. The only reason that I... More

The Mongolian Beef with fried rice was delicious. The beef was tender and juicy, and I love that they added fried egg to their fried rice.
