Nothing good here, horrible service, and the attitude is arrogant. A friend brought me here and called ahead because I am a vegan to make sure they could accommodate, on the phone the chef was I will make whatever you like. After discussing briefly the...More

Wonderful dining experience at Little Bird. Cozy, quaint atmosphere, excellent service. We enjoyed the olive side, tender hanger steak with the absolute best fries ever. Also the squash couscous was delicious vegetarian option with chanterelles in a flavorful sauce. We were celebrating our anniversary and...More

We were pleasantly surprised by the food at this unique neighborhood joint. The atmosphere was cozy with the service approachable and attentive. We shared the special soup of the day which was a creamed cauliflower and the octopus appetizer. The flavors were amazingly rich but...More

We had a nice server in a busy restaurant. I ordered the much talked about fried chicken coq au vin. It was fine. Others at the table were not over the top with their hanger steak entrees. Again, service was good. It's a busy place....More

Excellent, excellent, excellent. From appetizer to dessert, Little Bird is an experience. The sister restaurant to Portland's acclaimed Le Pigeon, Little Bird does French bistro exceptionally well without being stuffy or boring. Having celiac disease means French cuisine is usually tough to navigate, but the...More

We have never been for dinner, but love it for lunch – usually a “late lunch” about 2 PM when they are less busy. The service is always friendly and very professional, and the food presentation is elegant. The quality always has been excellent –...More

I knew this was the wrong restaurant when they seated us upstairs. They had no air conditioning and today was the hottest day of the year. If we hadn't had our young grandson with us we would have left. The waitress did not describe the...More

We greatly enjoyed our celebratory dinner here. It's easy to miss, because of traffic patterns - but parking is easy less than a block away. My lamb, and my wife's duck, were simply outstanding: flavorful, tender, not overly salted. We rarely finish a restaurant entree,...More

The restaurant is a gem. I had a light meal: an appetizer of sea scallops which were cooked lightly to perfection. On the side, the roasted mushrooms, which were delicious (I think they were topped with a sweet crumbled nut)! My husband loved the lamb...More

We went to Little Bird our 1st night in Portland. It is in a charming (small) building with interesting decor. The draw is the food. We shared a very good bottle of Belle Pente Pinot. I had the fried chicken and understand why it is...More

I hosted a group upstairs for a corporate lunch. As we know, heat rises and it became very hot up there. They brought in fans for us. I thought they handled it well.
