Came here in a group of 6, including a couple who frequent the restaurant and have tried most everything on the menu, and who recommended the fried chicken. The fried chicken was some of the best we'd ever had, as well as the thinly-sliced smoked ham & biscuits, and the butterscotch pudding was out of this world! My salad was... More

Nice space, good service. Was underwhelmed by the food. All three at the table thought their meals were fine, but nothing special. The service was REALLY GOOD, so that made up for it quite a bit.

1st time here and will be back. I was warmly greeted by hostess and enjoyed one of the many wines by the glass offered by this restaurant. I sat next to the fireplace while waiting for a friend. At dinner we sampled the chicken fried oysters, which borrow the batter from their signature fried chicken. The smoked cauliflower was amazing... More

We dined for the first time at Irving Street tonight. We ordered appetizers and salads as well as entrees. The cocktails were good. Service was slow, although they did a good job spacing out the courses. Our waiter just didn't check in with us to see how things were. He didn't explain the dishes or even comment on our selections.... More

We had a delightful late morning breakfast and it was very good. The service was quick, and the eggs were very fresh. The bread was baked on site, making it delicious. One person in our group had hash, and stated that it was the best he had every had. I had yogurt and granola and the portion was just the... More

The Restaurant was warm and inviting. Our waitress was very intelligent and helpful. I noticed that there were private booth, with curtains for extra privacy. I had the black cod, very tasty but portion was so small. My daughter had the Pork belly, she said it was good. Can't recall what my husband had but we all enjoyed the experience. Very... More

This is the place to go for brunch! The food was delicious and generous enough for my hearty eater. Try to get a seat in one of their booths, It makes the experience much more intimate. No matter how full you are, you must have a butter scotch pudding. It is large and rich enough to share.

Dined here last night with 8 friends for New Year's Eve. Fun, spacious atmosphere with great smells and lighting. If you arrive early, the wait area to the left of the front door has comfortable chairs and couches. Menu is split into "Ones" which are appetizers, "Twos" which include smaller plates and salads, and "Threes" which are main courses. Best... More

I think we picked the rainiest night ever, but what a treasure. We were seated near a bookcase, which was cool. Nice wine & wait staff. Creative cocktails. Foie gras was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The fried chicken was probably the low-light, as it was "just ok". Everything else was splendid.

This is a great lunch or dinner spot. The room is beautiful and the food is delicious. This was the best meal we had while visiting Portland. I would definitely go back.
