Ordered Kahlua Pig plate, with a Spam Musabi appetizer, a ginger ale, and a butter mochi dessert. I'd never had the musabi, but I am so glad I ordered it. Delicious! The kahlua pig was perfect (got a side of teriyaki sauce, good and not too sweet). The mochi likewise was delicious and not too sweet. I might as well... More

This really reminded me of the time I lived in Hawaii and ate from the various food trucks along the shore. The teriyaki chicken plate was perfect ... nice portion of chicken and very moist/tasty. The Ahi Poke side was nice but would have liked a little more tuna. Overall I highly recommend if you are in East Portland.

We were on our way home and decided to stop and get some of their incredible Hawaiian mac salad to go. But then, I saw the fried Saimin with pork belly,so we got an order of that, too. And THEN we remembered how good the musubi was, so we got two of those as well. We had two full meals from... More

Had to wait at the register for quite some time until someone finally came to take my order during the trailing end of the lunch rush. I ordered a spam musubi and an ahi tuna poke bowl since I was here for the Hawaiian food. The spam musubi was great! The poke bowl was more disappointing. The rice to topping... More

First things first, you will not leave hungry. A fantastic casual lunch/dinner spot. I've been to a few Hawaiian spots in my day and none of them were ever that great. Ate-Oh-Ate absolutely breaks that mold. They make quality Hawaiian dishes. Not the mystery chicken parts over rice drowned in teriyaki sauce. Quality ingredients, traditional and unique choices of proteins... More

So my boss had some leftovers that looked amazing! The word was abuzz in the office that the food here was awesome and NOT far from the office! I was sold and on my way home I stopped in to grab dinner! Lucky for me happy hour was 4 - 6pm and arriving at 5pm put me in ahead of... More

We love this place, great menu, service and delicious food. Get a Mai Ti to have while waiting or with an appetizer. The Hawaii vibe is there in atmosphere and food. Good portions with something for everyone on the menu.

We had lunch or dinner here at least once a week for more than a year while we were renovating our house. We still eat here regularly, especially during happy hour. It took me a long time to stray from my favorites: Ahi Poke special, Fried Saimin, and Kahlua Pig sandwich. The Kalbi Rib plate lunch is really tasty and... More
