The busy bartender came over to our table with a smile and recommended some great beers I had never heard of, which were delicious. The Friday night crowd was stylish and upbeat, but short on vanity. The same bartender poured generous tequila shots for my party of three. I was smiling from the time I entered the bar to the... More

Pretty fun bar to catch a Ducks game. Only had one beer but it was seriously the best IPA I've ever had. Food smelled amazing as it was some kind of barbecue but we didn't eat. Would love to go back.

The original breakfast, brunch, lunch spot we had intended to go to was closed monday. My friends and I wanted a place with outside seating as we had a service animal and thought that would be more agreeable to other folks around. Coming from seattle we seem to always be aware of the smiling passive aggressive stares we get from... More

I go basically for the food menu. But it is a full service bar. I found the staff and most customers friendly. Seating abounds with several large screen TV for sports viewing. Did not notice music though.

Great selection of beers and whiskies. Service was good, you get to try the beers before deciding. It's located on pearl district so great pit after shops.

Stopped in for drinks around happy hour time. Grabbed a table outside and had no service. Went into the bar to order drinks and bartenders were all complaining about the smoke from the summer fires. We waited at the bar for our drinks and carried them outside (2 other tables were occupied as well) to our table. Not one server... More

We were looking for a pet friendly restaurant near Powell's and stumbled on this. It's also close to the famous Deschutes, which was too crowded for our dogs. The spiced apple cider was some of the best I've ever eaten. Their homemade chips were good, but salty. The burgers were good, the brisket was a bit dry but the BBQ... More

We had a great time here on a Friday night and it's all because we had a fun and interactive server. The restaurant was almost full as well as their sidewalk seats. The atmosphere is generic but it works for this area downtown. Simple drinks. Simple menu. Great service!

We came to life of riley and went into the basement and had a few drinks and listened to some music on the jukebox. The drinks were good and it was nice to just kick back for a bit

Two blocks down the street and there's the Life of Riley. We've been coming here for years -- long before we moved into the neighborhood -- and were never disappointed. Why? Because The Life of Riley is just what it purports be (and has been for years): an unpretentious neighborhood pub. Plenty of beers to choose from, a long and... More
