Was visiting Portland for a short trip and had a chance to sample the shyamosas. They were huge and so delicious. The chutney is amazing. We actually got there right before closing and the chef was really nice. He had another patron that came after us, technically after closing and he made food for him too. I wish I was... More

And his food is delicious too! Love this guy! Family! Never had Mauritian food before. Shyam recommended the Mine Frire with chicken - their most popular dish. Nick - who is also very cool - said they sold almost 20,000 of these dishes last year! Excellent service, delicious food, huge portions wonderful people - highly recommend making a trip to... More

When we first got there it was Sunday afternoon and most food carts were closed. This place looked interesting. I got the curry chicken w thin noodles (other name. I was floored by the intensity of the curry. In my mouth I had alot of diff flavors bursting in my mouth all at the same time (love ethnic food). Try... More

The chicken noodles and chicken curry were absolutely delicious! Roughly about $10 per item but they were very generous servings. I actually didn't really like the samosas at all and only ordered them b/c it was highly reviewed. They look like huge empanadas but mushy with no meat. The service is great, they are very patient with explaining the menu... More

And it was so good. The chef and his cousin were so friendly and the food was delicious! I ordered the mine frire spicy. Holy cow it was spicy but oh so good. The shyamosa was enormous and also delicious. So much food for not that much money. I would be a regular if I was local, both for the... More

I loved them. I thought they were very good with a lot of flavor but not too spicy. For $7.00 that is one good meal deal!

Fantastic food that is similar to Indian, but not the same. Everything was spiced very nicely and the meets were tender. The portions were large, so we had leftovers for dinner. The owner is super friendly too.
