One of the few little bits of old Portland left on the fringes of Portland's ever-expanding Pearl District, Cassidy’s has the kind of cozy lived-in atmosphere (and décor) that feels appealing at first, but then the ubiquitous musty smells, rickety chairs and uneven service take over and you wonder how this will all play out. (Though the old wooden bar... More

Had a group of 7 people for dinner. As for myself, the salad was too salty, the fish was too salty, I had 1 Brussel sprout with my meal (cut in half), and my Bread pudding was dry, salty and no flavor. Not to mention no tart cherries that I could find or taste. My husband's linguine was oddly flavored... More

Stumbled upon this magnificent gem on our anniversary trip to Portland. OH. MY. GOD! The chicken flatbread was amazing and so delicious, I still fantasize about it almost a year later. Food is amazing and so are the drinks. Flying back to Portland, just for the flatbread.

If you go here for the food I would rate it poor. However, as a bar or a place for a few drinks with friends this may be exactly what you're looking for. I had mussels. This was standard which is to say good but the French fries were in the sauce and not separate which makes them soggy and... More

Cassidy's has been one of Portland's fun watering holes and great restaurant for a very long time. Even though the atmosphere is old Portland the food is always good! The bar a great place to meet friends and it is close enough that you could walk to a Timbers Game.

We ate here on the advice of the desk clerk at our hotel after a long day traveling. I started with one of their many craft beers and the bar tender made a special bloody Caesar for my wife. We then shared a fried oysters appetizer (about half a dozen for $9) and a local specialty rock fish dinner ($19).... More

We have had many dinners and happy hours here over the last several years. The menu is smallish, but there is something for everyone. Love the seasonal salads and desserts. Entrees run the gamut from pasta to seafood, chicken and steak, with even an excellent burger available. There is a really beautiful old bar in the half of the restaurant... More

Arriving from the East Coast pretty late, we were lucky that friends from Portland knew about Cassidy’s. The decidedly old school bar look belies the fact that the place has a really good gastropub food. At almost 11:00 p.m. we had the choice of the full dinner menu or the Happy Hour menu – yes, that’s right, they have two... More

Cassidy's is 'old school' cool. We went for a 'nightcap' and it was quiet so we were able to take in the restaurant "setting" which is beautifully intact; we really enjoyed our conversation with the waitress, and on our way out, spied a patron eating best steak we had seen anywhere in Oregon.

Loved this place! My husband and I went here for dinner on a Tuesday night while on vacation. It wasn't crowed at all so I was nervous it may not be any good but I was pleasantly surprised. We decided to sit at the bar and I'm so glad we did. Several of the bartenders talked to us for a... More
